Our story

A studio built around the way people actually live.

Comfort Home Zone began with a simple frustration: renovation rarely feels like it belongs to the people paying for it. Too many decisions, too many trades, too little explanation.

So we built a studio that behaves differently — design-led, plainly explained and accountable from the first sketch to the care instructions left on the kitchen table.

Why we exist

A home should feel settled long before it feels finished.

We work on the parts of a house that quietly decide how a day goes — the light, the warmth, the storage, the safety, the garden you see from the sink.

Most homeowners come to us in a moment of overlap. The bathroom has stopped working, the garden has become a chore, the roof needs attention and nobody has the time to coordinate it all. What they want is not a style. They want someone to take the whole picture seriously.

Our team brings together interior design, exterior and garden work, safety, roofing, solar, windows, flooring and bathrooms — because these systems fail and succeed together. A beautiful bathroom with poor ventilation will not stay beautiful. A new garden with an old roof above it is not a finished project. Working across the whole home lets us make decisions that hold.

We keep the studio deliberately small so the people who plan your renovation are the people you can reach. You will not be handed between departments. You will have one project lead who knows your decisions, your priorities and your house.

“Comfort is the standard we design to. Everything else — tile, paint, planting — is a detail in service of it.”

What guides us

The beliefs that shape every project.

They sound simple. Holding to all four at once is what makes the work different.

Warmth over trend

We design in materials that age gracefully and palettes you will still like after a decade.

Craft over speed

Proper sequencing and patient detailing take the time they take. We would rather do it once.

Clarity over jargon

Plain-language scopes, itemised options and honest advice about what is worth the spend.

Care after completion

Handover notes, accessible warranties and a team that answers the phone afterwards.

Built to be lived in
Our approach

We plan for the second winter, not the first photograph.

A renovation is a long-term relationship with a building. Our job is to make that relationship low-effort: surfaces that survive real family life, systems that are easy to service, and details that do not need a specialist to maintain.

  • Decisions documented. Every choice is written into a scope you can keep.
  • Trades coordinated. Trades booked in sequence, not stacked on top of each other.
  • Site kept liveable. Protection, dust control and a clean close each day.
  • Aftercare built in. Care guidance, warranties and a team still reachable.
Who you work with

A small team, deliberately.

The people who plan your renovation stay with it until the keys are back in your hand.

Design lead

Translates your brief into layouts, palettes and a material schedule — and protects the design intent on site.

Project lead

Owns the programme, the suppliers and the questions. One number to call, one person who knows your home.

Site craftspeople

Joiners, tilers, electricians, plumbers and landscapers we have worked alongside for years.

In their words

The part clients mention afterwards.

Not the tile, usually. The calm. The tidy site. The phone call that explained the delay before they had to ask.

They treated our house like somewhere people still had to sleep. Every evening the site was tidy and we knew exactly what tomorrow held.

We asked for a bathroom. They noticed the extractor had been venting into the loft for years. Fixing that changed the whole room.

The garden is now where we eat every evening. It was the least expensive way to gain a room, and it looks like it was always meant to be there.

An initial conversation costs you nothing but a cup of coffee. Tell us what is bothering you about the house, and we will tell you honestly how we would approach it.
